For all permanent gas installations such as gas hobs, ovens, geysers and fireplaces, you need an up to date compliance certificate. CoC’s are valid for five years, however, some insurance companies may require it to be renewed more frequently.

A Certificate of Conformity is proof that your gas installation is save and complies with the rules and regulations as laid out in SANS 10087-1. The law requires that you be in possession of a CoC for all gas installations at all times.

A CoC must be issued for all new gas installations, after any modification, alteration and maintenance of existing installations.
